There are two main forces at work bidding for your soul. Good (God) or evil (satan). There is no time share, nor renting, nor any kind of partnership when it comes to owning your soul, it’s one or the other.
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Jesus makes it clear that being in the middle is worse that picking sides. So, in this debate on which side you go with, there is an auction going on. Both sides have placed their bids, and we have choice to choose which one we want to accept. There are two types of bids to consider: Physical and Fiscal.
We will start with physical. Satan has taken domain over the earth, and has taken the life of God’s only son, so to stop him from winning more souls. God on the other hand has given us freewill to choose, and God has given his only son to be killed for our sins.
Next is the fiscal part. Hard cash, I will put it in todays terms so everyone can understand what each of them thinks your soul is worth. Satan, in an attempt to keep God from giving you a way back to him, killed Jesus. In doing so he used Judas, and gave him 30 Denarii, which is $21 ea. Giving a total of $630 in todays money.
14 Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests 15 and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver
Satan then uses the cross as a way to torment his opponent. A 6x6x8ft beam would run you roughly around $18 as a cross beam and a 6x6x12ft beam would run you roughly around $28. Bringing a total of lumber to $46
This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross
Satan then uses three nails to hold him to the cross, at about $12 each this would be $36.
16 Dogs surround me,
a pack of villains encircles me;
they pierce my hands and my feet.
Bringing a grand total of $712 of todays money, that satan has put down on the table for everyone’s souls. This of course would be divided by billions of people. If all there was, were 50 billion that would leave satans bid on your eternity at $00.00000001424. So if you could get about 100,000 of your friend together, you could share 1 cent.
God on the other hand, has given his only son so that your sins would be whipped away. God is giving an ultimate gift, one that is unmatchable in any form, therefore making it priceless. When you divide that up by 50 billion, you still get priceless.
So to recap:
Satans bid – taken dominion, taken the life of Gods son, and paid $00.00000001424 for each of us.
Or
Gods bid – Given free will, Given his son to die, and Given Pricelessness of salvation.
Satan has taken, taken, and paid, so you get nothing. God has given, given, and given so you get everything. Answer is pretty clear to me!
